IT Manager
Working from the Head Office in Hove, this is a superb opportunity for an IT professional to work as part of a rapidly growing ecommerce company with multiple online stores. You will be reporting to the managing director.
The role will take overall responsibility of all IT functions:
You will be an individual who has a proven track record in a similar role with a strong understanding of IT systems and platforms.
Required: Microsoft platforms, .NET, SQL, E-commerce and CMS background.
Advantageous: PHP, XML and FLASH
Required skills and experience:
You will have:
Worked within a business that sells its products or services via the web.
At least 4 years of proven experience managing complex IT projects, and experience managing and negotiating with third parties/suppliers.
Experience managing projects of at least 2-6 months in duration, from concept to completion
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise functional requirement specifications.
Proven ability in meeting project deadlines.
Ability to motivate a team.
Excellent understanding of development techniques, trends and best practice and standards.
Business analysis experience with strong analytical, problem solving skills.
ROLE / DUTIES
Initial duties will include total review of all existing IT systems and strategies in conjunction with senior IT staff.
Timetable and prioritise the ongoing requirements of the company with a commercial bias.
Develop key individuals - including performance management, training and coaching.
Manage IT suppliers and third parties engaged in the provision of applications, services and tools.
Develop positive communications and relationships with colleagues inside and outside the IT department.
Increase the technical capability to support future business growth.
Monitor overall department progress and initiate corrective action, as appropriate, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Regular progress reports of the projects to senior IT & Business management
Contribute towards the development of the IT strategy for the entire group.
Maintaining all of the existing websites and domain names.
