The main areas of this role include:
The Stores Assistant role demands an enthusiastic, practical, methodical and well organised person, with experience working within a stores area, and IT skills.
The following highlights key aspects of the role: -
Goods Inwards
• Receipt and checking of all externally sourced and in-house manufactured components.
• Delivering goods into the stock system.
• Physically stocking the components in the relevant areas.
Stock Control
• Regular sample stock counts to confirm/improve stock accuracy.
• Kitting orders in preparation for assembly.
• Maintenance of a clean, safe and tidy environment in the stores, packing and welding areas.
Packing / Dispatch
• Packing goods to ensure safe passage to their mainly international destinations.
Cleaning/kitting
• Preparation for stocking products including cleaning of all in-house manufactured items using the hi-tech ultrasonic cleaning facility.
• Labeling of all items and issuing to stock.
Together with any related tasks associated with carrying out the company business.
Salary:
Depending upon experience £16K-20K.
The normal hours of work are 40 per week.
